Have you ever watched a horror movie and wondered if the graveyard scene was a real cemetery or a movie set? Here are 5 real graveyards seen on the big screen that you can actually visit.
Bagdad Cemetery- Leander, Texas

The original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released in 1974. The budget for this movie was low so they used a few real places you can also visit today such as the gas station and the Farmhouse.
Location: 400 N Bagdad Rd, Leander, TX 78641
Mount Hope Cemetery- Bangor, Maine

Mount Hope Cemetery was used for scenes in Stephen King’s famous Pet Semetery, in 1989. Mr. King is from Maine and lots of landmarks he has used for inspiration.
Location: 1048 State St, Bangor, ME 04401
Evans City Cemetery, Evans City, PA

We can’t have a graveyard list without zombies, and you can’t talk about zombies with talking about the classic Night of the Living Dead. Since it’s debut on the big screen in 1968, Evans City Cemetery has became apart of horror cinema history and has become a tourist hotspot.
Location: 8600 Franklin Road Evans City PA USA
Tomba Dei Letti Funebri, Cerveteri RM, Italy

Religion and horror would be perfectly blended in the 1976 film The Omen. There are many shots of the graveyard in this film but this may be the most memorable; when the lightning rod breaks off the top of the church, spiking through the Priest.
Location: Via della Necropoli, 43, 00052, Cerveteri RM, Italy
Old Madison Cemetery, Madison, Georgia

At the end of Friday the 13th Part 5 and in the beginning of Part 6 you will see Old Madison Cemetery where Jason was buried (part 5) and then dug up (part 6).
Location: 132 N Main Street, Madison, GA 30650
