Wendy’s Haunted Scare-Thru

Have you ever been so scared you crapped a Frosty into your pants?

Well if you were in South Gate, CA during this past Halloween season, that could have been a possibility.

2020 has been the year of the social distance haunt. Which has been a challenge for many traditional haunted houses. So we have seen an influx of different socially distant haunted ideas and the “drive through haunted attraction” has been on the rise. One Wendy’s in California took total advantage creating their fast food drive-thru into a Halloween (or should I say “HalloWeendy”) experience.

Can I get some Seas Salt Fries with a dash of Scream, please?

Wendy’s Scare-Thru was only open for a few days (Oct 29-31) but was filled with non stop scares for the whole family to enjoy. The first 5000 cars got a “Boo Book” (coupon book) for surviving the Scare-Thru. They did have live actors mixed into each scene as well that scared for 20 hours a day! Hats off to those actors!!

It’s always great to see major and local businesses really get into the Halloween spirit instead of shunning it like others. This gives me hope that in the future there will be many more new and exciting ways to enjoy the haunted season.

Have you ever gone through a Haunted Drive-Thru? Let me know how it was in the comments.

Thanks for reading Haunters!

Stay Scary,
